Dr. Bill Conerly is a consultant guiding business leaders in building resilient plans adaptable to any economy. He has the unique combination of a Ph.D. in economics from Duke University and over 30 years’ experience helping companies thrive in changing economic conditions. He has worked in economics and corporate planning at two Fortune 500 corporations and at a major bank, where he was senior vice president. Companies have used Dr. Conerly’s expertise to help with decisions regarding capital expenditures, inventory levels, expansion into new markets, pricing, business models and financial structure. Bill Conerly has spoken to over 1300 business audiences in five countries and 31 states. Dr. Conerly is an on-line contributor to Forbes.com and the author of The Flexible Stance: Thriving in a Boom/Bust Economy (2017) as well as Businomics (2007). Frank Hugelmeyer

NMMA President


Frank Hugelmeyer is the President of the National Marine Manufacturers Association. He started this role with the transition period beginning in July 2019 and officially took the helm October 1, 2019. Hugelmeyer comes to NMMA from the RV Industry Association (RVIA), where he has served as president since 2015. He has led the RV industry with a focus on market development and strengthening of the industry-wide consumer campaign, Go RVing; directed robust advocacy policy initiatives spanning the international, federal and state levels; and, established broad coalitions across the outdoor recreation sector, including the Outdoor Recreation Roundtable. RVIA represents the $50 billion RV industry with a membership of 400 manufacturers and component and aftermarket suppliers that produce 98 percent of all RVs made in the U.S. Prior to RVIA, Hugelmeyer was president and CEO of the Outdoor Industry Association for 14 years. He was instrumental in growing the trade group’s focus on advocacy, consumer trends, business innovation and B2B education.

Scot Hunsaker

Scot Hunsaker purchased an engineering firm operating as a sole proprietorship from his father. That firm, Counsilman-Hunsaker, has designed aquatic facilities all over the world, including Olympic venues. During his tenure as CEO and owner (and as a non-engineer running an engineering company), he grew Counsilman-Hunsaker’s revenue by a factor of 10, quadrupled the number of employees, opened 4 new offices in the US and went from being licensed to operate in 10 states to operating in all 50 plus 3 Canadian provinces. He sold Counsilman Hunsaker to the employees for cash in 2012. He has spoken on the topic of ownership transition and ownership thinking across the US and internationally. In 2013, he formed Ardent Consulting whose mission is to help CEOs and Business owners prepare for their ultimate transition with a particular focus of teaching employees how to think like owners.

Lauren Saidel-Baker

Lauren Saidel-Baker is an experienced speaker and economist. She is responsible for providing reliable industry and company forecasts, presentations, webinars, and economic consulting services to small businesses, trade associations, and Fortune 500 companies across a spectrum of industries. Lauren's experience in finance supports her commanding grasp of ITR Economics' programs and subscriptions and their practical applications. Lauren graduated cum laude from Wellesley College, double majoring in economics and religion. In addition to her academic accomplishments, Lauren is a CFA® Charterholder. Her attention to detail and ability to understand her clients’ needs make her an invaluable asset to the ITR team!

Zane Tarence, Partner and Managing Director of Founders Advisors Technology Practice, is an experienced investment banker, entrepreneur and recognized expert on the growth and monetization of digital media, internet technology and software companies. Over the past 20 years, Zane has led and completed more than 87 technology deals, including facilitating the sale of some of the largest lead generation internet businesses in the United States. Zane is a noted speaker with Vistage International and Convene. He is the founder of the preeminent SaaS and internet summit, Silicon Y’all.

Leah Williams

1929 Social


Leah Williams has over 11 years of diverse marketing experience. Leah earned her Bachelor’s in Marketing from Georgia State University’s prestigious J. Mack Robinson School of Business. During her collegiate enrollment, Leah worked for a popular celebrity blog where she conducted red carpet correspondence at award shows in Atlanta. She also worked for the #1 syndicated radio station in the Southeast as a press relations and event coordinator. After graduation, Leah transitioned into corporate marketing for a renowned financial firm in Atlanta. Leah managed the digital and client service efforts for over 5 years. In 2015 Leah found herself intrigued in the global transition to all things digital and sought to expand her knowledge. Leah obtained training in digital marketing from General Assembly which allowed her to grow her foundation for digital and social media marketing with a focus on business. In 2016 Leah began consulting and growing local Atlanta businesses through social and digital efforts. Through her initiatives she participated in projects for major brands like Google, The Georgia Lottery, and Jane Carter Solutions. In 2017 Leah joined the heritage brand Sunbrella where she managed the domestic and international social media and influencer efforts. During her time with Sunbrella she constructed a social strategy that fostered over 10k new organic followers on Instagram alone. She also spearheaded the brand's initial social-first immersive activation at the world-renowned Art Basel in Miami, Florida that generated thousands of impressions and influencer mentions. Currently, Leah is a consultant and lead strategist for her growing social media company 1929 Social based in Atlanta, Georgia.
